Copyright Issues

Earlier today, I learned that someone I’ve known for 20+/- years, and an excellent photographer by the way, discovered that some of her photos were displayed at a local Wal-Mart without her knowledge or consent.  Suffice it to say that she’s working through the issue with her usual thoroughness and good humor.  When the matter is resolved, I’ll let you know how it turned out.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out Loree Johnson’s website, you’re missing out on a treat.  She took up photography, in a very serious way, only a short 5+/- years ago.  When you look at her images, I’m sure you’ll be as impressed as I was when I saw them for the first time.

Between photographers, I believe one of the highest compliments I can give to a colleague is to say, “I wish I had taken that.”  In Loree’s case, I utter that statement time and again.  She has truly found her calling and it shows in the captivating images she captures.  Take a look at Loree’s website, you won’t be disappointed.

Oh, for the record, I’ve aged 20+/- years since we first met, but Loree hasn’t.  I’m not sure how that works, exactly, but it clearly does.

If you’d like to share your comments with me, please do so.

As always, thanks for your continued support!

  1. Patrick, thank you so much for your support and generous praise of my work. There are many of your photos I wish I had taken, too! I received a response from Walmart Legal yesterday and have updated my post with the information. Thanks again!
