Email Updates on Post Changes

A number of you contacted me about receiving updates or changes to the posts on this website.  I didn’t keep a tally of the favorable versus unfavorable remarks.  However, I made the decision to turn off the auto email update feature so that you wouldn’t have to put up with emails that contained small changes in posts.

As many of you know, if it were solely left up to me, I’d never finish a book.  Not because I didn’t put a coherent story together, but because I would always edit it to make it better.  The same affliction is true with blog posts.  Even though I post something, I still find myself editing it to make it clearer, more concise, or generally better.

Unfortunately, that means that those of you who follow this site via your email-based subscription tend to get far too many emails from me.  Every time I edit a post, making even the smallest change, you receive an email.  Believe me, I know that you have far more important things to read about other than the latest tiny changes in a post.

I think I can report to you today that I’ve disabled that feature.  This means that you won’t have to put up with the small torrent of emails from me when I fiddle with a post that’s available on this website.

If you receive a notice that I created this post, you’ll know that my attempt to limit the flurry of emails didn’t succeed.

If you’d like to comment on this, or any other item, please contact me.

As always, thanks for your continued support!
